Plan Your Legacy With Us

Secure our future, and join the Loggerhead Society by setting up a planned gift in support of our Rising TIDE Campaign. Planned gifts can be directed to the Cape Eleuthera Foundation endowment fund and may be unrestricted or restricted. Unrestricted gifts and pledges serve the greatest needs of The Island School.

Why “Loggerhead” Society? The Loggerhead sea turtle is one of the most well-known and respected ocean travelers, and they are often found on the shores surrounding Eleuthera. Members of the Loggerhead Society have committed to a long-term relationship with the Cape Eleuthera Foundation and the programs we support. Any planned giving qualifies you for membership.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Rising TIDE campaign?

The Rising TIDE Campaign is a bold, four-year initiative to secure the future of The Island School. This effort focuses on faculty housing, endowment growth, campus renewal, and strengthening the Annual Fund to ensure long-term sustainability.

Why is this campaign happening now?

The Island School is at a pivotal moment. As we celebrate 25 years of impact, we must invest in the people and programs that make our mission possible. Rising TIDE ensures we can continue developing young leaders, supporting our faculty, and strengthening our foundation for generations to come.

How long will the campaign run?

Rising TIDE is a four-year campaign. Our goal is to raise the majority of funds before going public, ensuring we have strong momentum toward completion.

How much is the fundraising goal?

Our goal is to raise $25 million to fund key priorities while maintaining financial sustainability.

What will the funds support?

Rising TIDE focuses on four key areas:

  • Faculty Housing & Support: Attracting and retaining exceptional educators through competitive salaries and housing.
  • Endowment Growth: Providing long-term financial stability and ensuring accessibility for future students.
  • Campus Renewal: Upgrading and maintaining facilities that support hands-on, experiential learning.
  • Annual Fund: Sustaining the core programs that make The Island School experience so transformative.

How does this campaign fit into the long-term vision for The Island School?

Rising TIDE is the first phase of a 10-year Campus Master Plan designed to ensure The Island School remains at the forefront of experiential education, sustainability, and leadership development. This vision includes:

  • Expanding faculty housing to support the long-term retention of top educators.
  • Creating adaptable learning spaces that reflect the evolution of education.
  • Enhancing research and innovation hubs to strengthen our impact in ocean conservation.
  • Improving student housing and campus infrastructure to support a growing and diverse community.

By investing in these priorities now, we are laying the foundation for the next decade of impact and growth.
